OMRL
development-related sites:
- 3store - The RDF store
to be used for the metadata system. This is currently being developed
by Steve Harris et al.
- Creative Commons - The source for the licenses we are currently deciding between.
- SourceForge - Our current web and
development hosts.
Linux pro-audio
sites:
- Ardour - Ardour aims to be a complete ProTools-competitive multitrack audio production suite, and it has already accomplished much of this task.
- Plugin.org.uk - Steve Harris' web site for LADSPA plugins for Linux audio software.
- LADSPA - The plugin system for Linux pro-audio software.
- Rosegarden - This is a MIDI sequencer and audio recording suite for KDE.
- JACK - A low-latency audio server
for out-of-process connectivity. Basically, what that means is that
any audio software that supports JACK can talk to each other through it.
This is shaping up to be the real killer app for Linux pro-audio, in my opinion. Both Ardour and Rosegarden support it.
- Sweep - Sweep is an audio file editor for Linux. It supports multiple tracks and LADSPA plugins.
- ReZound - Another audio file editor for Linux. This one has preliminary JACK support, and support for LADSPA plugins.
Mailing lists:
- Linux Audio Development - The home page of three mailing lists, one for developers, one for users, and one for project announcements.
Other
music-related sites:
- Copyleft Media - The web site for
a book about copyleft that Miriam Rainsford (iriXx) is currently writing.
